Andre Lewis

André grew up in Spokane, WA and graduated from the University of Washington in Seattle where God began to call him into vocational ministry. While working with college students in Boulder, Andre met his wife, Heidi, who was attending the University of Colorado. In 1995, Andre and Heidi married and moved to Columbia, SC where they started a college ministry at the University of South Carolina.  After 6 years of serving college students, Andre attended and then graduated from Covenant Theological Seminary with a Master of Divinity. God redirected their call to church planting and the Lewis’ moved to the east side of Seattle to begin a new church called Redeemer Redmond.

After more than a decade of ministering in Microsoft’s backyard, Andre accepted the Executive Director position of Spokane YFC.  Twenty five years in ministry has taught Andre that the biggest threat to a fruitful ministry is simply his own heart. A self-professed lost shepherd, fearful risk-taker, and blind visionary, Andre is committed to the transformation of his city by seeing kids come to Christ and helping them find a local church. With a deep love for the Bride of Christ, he is convinced that many more strategic partnerships must emerge over time to accomplish YFC’s goal of reaching 1,000,000 kids. The Lewis's have been married for 21 years and have three children ranging from 8th grade to a freshman at the University of Washington.
